The 2026 Quiet Corner Garden Club Annual Scholarships are awarded to local high school seniors or current college students pursuing a major in an agriculture/ horticulture-related field of study such as: Agronomy, Botany, City Planning, Conservation, Environmental Studies, Floriculture, Forestry, Horticulture, Land Management, Landscape Design, Plant Pathology, Aquaponics, Natural Resources and/or related subject. More than one scholarship may be awarded.

Scholarships are awarded based on a combination of academic achievement, leadership /initiative qualities, personal statement, community service, and letters of recommendation. 

Applicants must reside within the Quiet Corner Garden Club’s service area of northeastern Connecticut and south central Massachusetts.

In addition to the completed application form, the applicant must provide:

• A transcript from your college or high school, current semester unofficial acceptable.
• A personal statement addressing your qualifications for the scholarship, including career goals and commitment to the chosen field of study. The statement should be no longer than one page, double-spaced.
• Two letters of recommendation (not from a family member).
• High School Seniors: A copy of an acceptance letter from the college you plan to attend.
