Members of the garden club can take part in workshops which are held throughout the  year.  This is a great opportunity for hands- on experience in all things gardening. Topics covered have included bonsai culture, wreath making, how to make hypertufa garden containers, lasagne-layered spring bulb pots, and more.   There are 6-10 flower arranging workshops on a regular basis. Here, you will learn the fundamentals of design from simple arrangements to more advanced flower arranging.

Upcoming Workshops

Saturday, January 25th – Plant Propagation Workshop

This hands-on workshop will walk you through how to propagate plants by taking cuttings.  You will leave with a pot of cuttings which do not require supplemental lighting but will do best in a window. The club will cover the cost of materials, but attendees are asked to donate some of the rooted cuttings back to the plant sale in May.  We will be working with Coleus, Citronella (Scented Geranium), and String of Pearls.  If you have other easily-propagated plants that we can use, please contact Lanette.
