Scholarships

The Quiet Corner Garden Club has a long history of providing scholarships to students interested in agriculture/horticulture-related fields of study. From the 1980s through today, QCGC continues to encourage students to follow their dreams by providing assistance through its scholarship program. QCGC also encourages its members to become CT Master Gardeners and bring back their knowledge to our Quiet Corner.
2023 Scholarship Recipients
The Quiet Corner Garden Club has granted two community members scholarships for 2023.
Kate Landis of Brooklyn, CT, a recent graduate from Marianapolis Preparatory School, received $2,500. Her college of choice is Colorado State University, majoring in is Forest and Rangeland Stewardship.
Rhiannon Martin of Dayville, CT, a returning applicant, received $1,000. She is attending Three Rivers Community College majoring in Environmental Engineering Technology & Environmental Health and Safety Management.
